U2 Tour
The long awaited concert at Sam Boyd Stadium will happen tonight, U2 and the Black Eyed Peas.
The U2 360° Tour presented by BlackBerry. The North America tour began at Chicago’s Soldier Field on September 12th and continues through October 28 to Vancouver, Canada. The tour will be in Las Vegas 10/23 and then off to the Rose Bowl in LA on 10/25 before heading to Canada and Europe. All shows are sold out but tickets are available from Click2Vegas.com and NationalShowTickets.com as well as other ticket outlets.

Having seen Rick Thomas at the Tropicana many years ago and then at the Stardust before it was imploded and after moving to the Orleans Casino before closing I can say I have seen Rick Thomas. However after attending an SPCA fundraiser and previewing his new show at the Sahara Hotel and Casino I have to say I am very impressed. The show is flawless, his stage presence and magical illusions have never been better and the Bengal tigers vanish and appear right before your eyes. He combines the illusions with dance and entertaining and touching stories as he shares his story of his dream. You will enjoy every moment from the magic and illusions, the magical rings that he does so well and his magic with birds is fun and amazing. The most important thing that stands out for me is this is a show for the whole family, it’s clean, entertaining and fun and I watched audience members of all ages just having a good time enjoying and amazed from illusion after illusion.

Confirmed, Garth Brooks is coming to Las Vegas. In 2000 Garth Brooks had announced his retirement as he wanted to spend more time with the family, however it looks like Steve Wynn has ropped the big one to fill the prior Danny Gans theater at the Wynn Encore. Details are still forthcoming however it looks like Garth is coming out of retirement and will now become a part of the Las Vegas strip highliners. While Garth has made some occasional concerts and events including recently President Barack Obama’s inaugural events. Welcome Garth!
A news conference to announce the new headliner is planned to be held on Thursday.

Bette Mideler returns to Caesars Palace – Colosseum on the Las Vegas strip beginning Wednesday 10/14 – 11/15 after Cher finishes her Saturday and Sunday shows 10/10 and 10/11 both sold out. Leonard Cohen will perform 11/12 and Bette will do two more shows before Chelsea Handler steps in 11/14 and then Cher returns Thursday 11/19.

Three Fridays in a row we have spent at the Studio B Buffet at the M Resort and I must say it is the Best in Vegas for their seafood friday at $25.95. Not only do they have all this wonderful seafood but also a coffee bar, wonderful salad selection and includes unlimited beer and wine. We always request a booth, it runs from 3:30pm-10:00pm, expect to wait an hour or more during peak times but the food is outstanding. Their Crab legs are the best and the selection is presented very nicely and be sure and have the prime rib also featured, it is very nice.
