(PRVegas) Magic and illusion shows have always been a staple here in Las Vegas. I have reviewed Siegfried and Roy who I still consider the best in the business. Rick Thomas and Lance Burton are fantastic but have come and gone but the new master of illusion show at the Riviera starring Jan Rouven is absolutely amazing.

The moment he appears on stage from his dangerous daring illusions to audience participation acts his entire show is entertainment for the entire family right down to his charming German accent. Between acts the dancers entertain you with well choreographed dance numbers to keep the energy going and add a nice touch to a well polished show as you wait for the next amazing illusion. (MORE)

Broadway Meets Vegas “The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas” at the Plaza – Las Vegas

(PRVegas)  I had the best time at the debut media event of  “The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas” at the Plaza Hotel and Casino.  This musical production takes you through the true story of the legendary Texas Brothel known as the “Chicken Ranch” which was a major motion picture featuring Dolly Parton as Miss Mona in 1982.  The original Broadway production debuted in 1978.

This show is most enjoyable with live singing and well choreographed dance routines of the sexy girls of the brothel and the Aggie boy patrons as well as a few dignitaries from the sheriff to the senator and a frequent visit from a do-gooder television commentator who wants to close it down. Latin Grammy Awards Will Return To Vegas, Nov 15

One Direction Scheduled 2012 and 2013 in Vegas

(PRVegas)  The UK boy band group One Directionwill tour the states for a 25 date trek to New York, Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Seattle and other major cities.

Country Superstars Featuring Cody Collins

(PRVegas) The cast rotates from Willie Nelson to even Kenny Chesney so you can see it again and again and it’s a bit different. The show finishes out with Cody Collins, former lead singer of Lone Star and he adds a unique ending to the show as not a tribute singer but singing his new single “It Ain’t Wrong.” You would have paid a lot more for the show just to see Cody. I met up with him after the show and had to welcome him to Las Vegas as he has a great voice and lends a unique addition to the show finishing it off with an actual country artist singing his new single and other songs from Lone Star (read more)

Las Vegas Casino O’Sheas Closing April 30

(PRVegas) Caesars Entertainment, which owns O’Sheas, announced today that O’Sheas will be permanently closed on April 30.  My favorite place for cheap drinks and beer pong is history.  Caesars Entertainment announces plans to close the O’Sheas parking garage on March 19, with demolition slated to begin the next day.  No announcement yet on the plans for the property.

Celine Dion Cancels All Performances Until June 9

“I tried to sing at my sound check last week, and I had no control of my voice whatsoever,” Dion said in a statement. “We thought that after a few days’ rest I would improve, but it wasn’t getting any better.” – PRVegas.com reports “Celine Dion has canceled all performances until June 9 due to a virus causing an inflammation of her vocal cords.” 

Caesars officials said other performances at the Colosseum, including Rod Stewart, Elton John and Jerry Seinfeld, will continue as planned.
